Antimicrobial effectThe microorganisms in the water can cause serious health problems. And you know that health is a serious matter.

What can you do?

Install an aquaPUR tank, the only tank that maintains the potability of the water using silver ions.

aquaPUR® is a POE (point of entry) water storage system at the entrance into your home that uses a filtration system in order to provide a high degree of filtration of the water, the active silver technology, developed by Valrom, patent RO 119784 – that prevents the appearance of the microflora in the storage tank. The system requires minimum maintenance operations and can provide safe and clean water, for a long time.

How does aquaPUR® work? aquaPUR® was designed to provide the potable water required for the whole family, under safe conditions. For this purpose, the storage tank with a multilayer structure and with active Ag-based antimicrobial protection was completed with filtration systems.

The aquaPur systemThe capacity of the silver to inhibit the development of microorganisms is known ever since the Antiquity and it has been use for the safe storage of potable water. Today, it has a vast range of applications, such as: household objects, personal hygiene, food packages, confections, medicine, etc., in order to provide bactericide characteristics.

The active agent is a mixture of Ag+ based inorganic compounds, introduced into the material mass. In the presence of water, silver ions are slowly released and inhibit the development of microorganisms, interfering with the cellular mechanisms responsible for multiplication.

The active Ag technology has a double effect: it inhibits the development of microorganisms on the tank surface and it maintains the potability of the stored medium. The action is extended upon a very large range of microorganisms of more than 25 classes of bacteria, algae, fungi, moulds, etc. The laboratory studies performed together with prestigious institutions (Cantacuzino Institute, Bucharest; Hygiene Institut des Ruhrgebiets Trink und Badewasserhygiene, Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Industrial Microbiological Services LTD, Stafford, England) proved that, in the first 24 hours from the contact, aquaPUR® provides the decrease of the Staphylococcus Aureus, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Escherichia Coli and Legionella Pneumophila cultures by approximately 99.5%.

The innovative VALROM solution for the supply with healthy water!

The mechanism of action is the following:

  • the active layer is exposed to the immersion medium on the interface with the liquid;
  • the Ag+ ions diffuse in the immersion medium;
  • the gradient of concentrated substances rises and the balance is reached at a level of approximately 2 - 3 ppm (parts per million);
  • the time necessary to reach the equilibrium concentration is approximately 24-48 hours, function of the quantity of liquid;
  • the Ag+ ions interfere with the reproduction mechanism of the microorganisms, inhibiting their development; the Ag+ ions are released as they are expended. This mechanism allows aquaPUR® to maintain the long-term potability of the water.Bacteria concentration
